Aap Ka Sahir
· Sahir Lodhi to host TV One's morning show Aap Ka Sahir
Renowned anchor, humanitarian, and actor, Sahir Lodhi, is one of the most esteemed and acclaimed morning show hosts Pakistan has seen in recent times. Lodhi has a strong resume when it comes to morning shows, and while we continuously see him shifting from one channel to another, TV One has now finally roped in Lodhi their forthcoming morning show, Aap Ka Sahir.
According to an exclusive chat with HIP, Lodhi described that the show is completely different from what he's done so far.
"When I started hosting Samaa's morning show, my slogan was Chalo badalte hain and this time and I'm saying, Kuch alag kerein," Lodhi revealed. "I believe we need to go back to our roots, there are morning shows which the masses like to watch, but there's so much negativity being spread in Pakistan and I think it's high time we start talking about about the inspirational stories that Pakistan has and be proud of our nation. We will obviously speak about social problems as well, but all of it will be presented in a decently, light-hearted manner."

Sahir also disclosed that the show will see celebrities interacting with normal people from various walks of life, who will come together on the show to inspire each other and paint a soft image of the country.
"I've always tried to demolish the barrier between a celebrity and an average being. I think everybody is equal," he further added. "The privileged don't realize how the rest of the world survives, and the masses believe, that celebrities live a glamorous and festive life, whereas that's definitely not true. My aim is to bring everybody on one platform to share their experiences and inspire everybody."
· Teaser of Sahir Lodhi's 'Raasta' revealed
Sahir is also working on the post production of his debut film, Raasta, which is slated to release this fall. Speaking of what one may expect from the movie, the director and actor shared:
"Raasta is an action-romance film that revolves around two brothers (Sahir himself and Aijaz Aslam) who find themselves in clash with the gangster's enemies (Naveed Raza and Shamoon Abbasi). It's an interesting film that has an ensemble star cast and a great music. Raasta is one of those films which is very different, it looks like an actual 'film', we have tried our best with the treatment and production, and we hope that it is able to connect with the audiences."
While the film is currently in its post-production stage, Lodhi has already started working on the sequel. For now, don't forget to catch Aap Ka Sahir daily from the 8th of August at 9am to 11am.
